A1 is the first level of the Common European Framework: understanding and using everyday expressions and very basic phrases. This word list covers the vocabulary that level asks for.

How the practice works

Every word is taught with an image, its pronunciation and a sentence, then tested by translation, listening and sentence completion. A word only counts as learned once you get it right on your own in three different ways. No account is needed and your progress stays in your browser.
